Privacy Policy

• Account details:your name, email address and mobile number, and the account type you choose (individual, owner, agent, builder).
• Listings you create:property details, price, photos and video, the location and address you set, and any description you write.
• Messages:conversations you have with other users through the platform.
• Usage and device data:pages you view, searches you run, and technical information such as your device type and approximate location, used to keep the service working and secure.

• To operate the marketplace: publish your listings and let buyers reach you.
• To verify accounts and listings, and to review content for safety and fraud.
• To show you relevant properties and improve search results.
• To contact you about your account, listings and enquiries.
• To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.

A published listing is public: its details, photos and the map location you choose are visible to anyone. Buyers contact you through the platform, so you do not need to put your phone number or email in the listing text, and for your safety we ask you not to. Your account email and password are never shown to other users.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run GharFinder (such as hosting and messaging infrastructure) under confidentiality obligations, and where the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We use a secure session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect against fraud and abuse. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time, though doing so will sign you out.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet legal requirements. When you delete a listing it is removed from public view; some records may be retained for a limited period for safety and legal reasons.

• You can view and update your account details from your account settings.
• You can edit or remove your listings at any time.
• You can delete your account from the app or the website; after a 30-day grace period your personal details are permanently removed.
• You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by contacting us at the address below.

We protect your information with encryption in transit and access controls, and we never expose sign-in tokens to the browser. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

GharFinder is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you.
